Club Statement on the Events in Rome

We would like to thank the Czech representation in Rome, especially Consul Adéla Verner-Sýkorová, for their support of the club and our fans before and after the match. We appreciate the support and offers of active assistance from the Office of the Government of the Czech Republic and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Czech Republic, led by Minister Jan Lipavský personally.

Today, the club has primarily focused on ensuring the safety of the fans when departing from the country. We are actively cooperating with the fans and trying to provide them with comprehensive assistance. A fan who became a victim of a violent act by local supporters, in the presence of the police (a knife attack), has been treated and is now safe.

Given the extent of the events throughout the entire trip, the club, based on its findings and information from the fans, will prepare a comprehensive report. This document will be made available to UEFA authorities and Czech authorities for the discussions with their Italian counterparts.

In the last 7 years, we have been on dozens of foreign trips, but we have never encountered such a level of unprofessionalism and lack of interest in ensuring safety and health protection on the part of the local police.
