Derby Helps!

In 1965 the Derby between Sparta and Slavia on Strahov Stadium attracted 50,150 fans establishing the record attendance of Czech football. Now both clubs joined their efforts to break this record in virtual charity Derby.

Even though professional club started joint training sessions after more than a month of quarantine, competitive games still cannot be played. That is why Slavia and Sparta prepared virtual Prague Derby on Sunday, 10 May. Special form of this virtual game will be presented in following days.

Fans of both teams can buy tickets for CZK 100 or CZK 300 (Slavia fans should select “Slavia Sector” on the beginning of the purchase, with ticket for CZK 300 goes small present from Slavia). All proceeds from the virtual Derby will go to nurses in Czech hospitals who are fighting the COVID-19 disease.

Win in Boleslav. Chytil on target, Chaloupek scores his first

Slavia claimed a 3:1 victory away at Mlada Boleslav in the 7th round of the Chance Liga. Mojmir Chytil opened the scoring with his first goal of the season, the home side equalized at the start of the second half from a retaken penalty. Stepan Chaloupek struck the winner with his debut goal for Slavia, and Ivan Schranz sealed the result late on.

Captains’ headers secured the comeback against Pardubice

Slavia defeated Pardubice 3:1 in the 6th round of the Chance Liga. The visitors opened the scoring, but from then on only the Red-Whites found the net. Specifically, the captains Tomas Holes and Jan Boril with their headers, before Vasil Kusej sealed the result. All this in front of 18,297 fans.
