Filip Prebsl signs new contract with Slavia

Filip Prebsl, the 21-year-old versatile defender and Slavia academy graduate, has extended his contract with the club until June 30, 2028. Prebsl, who spent the last two seasons on loan at Liberec, is set to return to Eden.

"I’m thrilled that Filip is coming back. I recently saw photos from about four years ago where he looked like a boy, and now he stands before me as a mature player. He possesses all the attributes of a modern player with the potential to help Slavia and grow with the club," said Chairman of the Board Jaroslav Tvrdík.

"A great achievement and above all, a childhood dream come true. I’m very glad that negotiations between all parties went well and I can be here. I have two seasons in the top league under my belt, having played over fifty matches. My loan spells in the second league, where I got a taste of senior football and gained valuable experience, also helped me. I believe I will make good use of this experience and help Slavia return to the top," stated Filip Prebsl after signing the new contract.

Filip started his football journey in Třeboradice before joining Slavia in the summer of 2015. In the 2019/2020 season, he was part of the extended squad for the UEFA Youth League despite being three years younger. He experienced senior football with Viktoria Žižkov and Vlašim before moving to Liberec on loan, where he gathered first-league experience. He made his debut in a match at Letná, playing the full ninety minutes and helping his team secure a 2-1 victory over Sparta.

During his two successful seasons under Ještěd, he played 52 matches, scoring three goals and providing two assists from his position as a center-back or defensive midfielder.

Filip, welcome back to the red and white! May you have great success!
