Holeš, Hovorka and Yusuf join Slavia

The red-whites started their summer training with three new faces: Defenders Tomáš Holeš and David Hovorka and forward Yusuf Helal.
Tomáš Holeš begun with senior football in Hradec Králové in 2011/12. After Hradec relegation in 2017 the 26-year old defender joined FK Jablonec helping the club finish third in the league and reaching the Czech Cup final. In 2018/19 Holeš started in all Jablonec games in UEFA Europa League. In the Czech FORTUNA:LIGA he made 35 caps scoring 5 goals and adding 3 assists (thus becoming top productive defender of Czech league).

25-year old central defender
David Hovorka joins Slavia from FK Jablonec too. From 2015 to 2017 he played for Slovan Liberec reaching the UEFA Europa League Group Stage twice. In 2017/18 he made 19 league caps for Slavia city rival Sparta but joined Jablonec a year later reaching UEL Group stage again. Hovorka has already played under the current Slavia manager Jindřich Trpišovský – for Viktoria Žižkov and Slovan Liberec.

Bahraini international
Abdallah Yusuf Helal signed for Slavia in winter 2018 but remained in Bohemians Prague for the rest of the season on loan. Yusuf was born on 12 June 1993 in Bahrain capital Manáma. Since 2009 he has been playing for East Riffa, the 2017/18 season he spent on loan to Al-Muharraq winning the Bahraini Premier League. In summer 2018 Yusuf moved to Bohemians 1095 Prague and became very first Bahraini player in European top divisions. Last season he scored 5 goals Czech top division. He is also Bahraini international playing 5 games in last Wold Cup qualification scoring 3 goals.

In the eighth round, Slavia beat Karviná 3-1 at Fortuna Arena and got ready for Wednesday´s opening Champions League home game against Bodo/Glimt. Mojmír Chytil opened the scoring again, and Lukáš Vorlický responded to the visitors´ equalizer with his first goals for the A-team. All this took place in front of 19,309 spectators.
