Laco Takács joins Slavia on loan

Defensive midfielder or centre-back Ladislav Takács joins Slavia on loan from FK Mladá Boleslav.
23-year old Ladislav (Laco) Takács joins Slavia on loan from FK Mladá Boleslav for half a year with an option to buy the player at the end of the loan. Takács is coming to Slavia after Alex Král’s departure to Spartak Moscow.

Laco Takács spent last 4 seasons with FK Mladá Boleslav as centre-back or defensive midfielder. In 2018/19 he scored 6 goals and added 3 assists, this season Takács scored 1 goal in 7 league games and played all 4 UEFA Europa League qualifiers for Mladá Boleslav. Before his spell in FKMB, Takács played for FK Teplice in Czech 1st league and for Baník Sokolov in Football National League (2nd tier). 23-year old defensive player made 16 caps for Czech U21 national team scoring 2 goals.

Ladislav Takács is part of Slavia UEFA Champions League squad for the 2019/20 Group Stage.

“I am aware that this will be the biggest challenge in my career. My biggest goal here is to move the loan into a permanent transfer. To become part of the team and help Slavia. There are incredible fans here in Eden, the atmosphere tempted me a lot and I am looking forward to playing in front of them. And the possibility to play in the Champions League? It’s every little boy’s dream! I hope we will do well there,” Ladislav Takács said in his first interview for Slavia TV.

“I think I came here more as centre-back as I played on this position in last games. But there is no problem in starting me on position number six or anywhere else. I’ll try to play my best to help the team,” added the 193-centimetres tall player.
