League games suspended, Europa League as scheduled

Czech league games have been suspended during the state of emergency, Slavia will play the UEFA Europa League on Thursday though.

The League Football Association as the governing body of Czech professional football competitions decided to suspend the league games during the state of emergency (until 3 November 2020). Our games home against Mladá Boleslav and away to Opava and Brno will probably not take place as scheduled. The new time and date for these fixtures will be released as soon as the professional competitions will restart.

After a negotiation with the National Agency for Sports and the Ministry of Health, professional teams can continue their training with no further restrictions. Slavia are thus preparing for their opening game of UEFA Europa League Group C. The red and whites will play away in Israel against Hapoel Beer Sheva on Thursday, 22 October, at 6:55 pm CET. Following UEL game will be home against Bayer Leverkusen on 29 October at 9 pm CET.

On Saturday, Slavia first team went through another round of Covid-19 tests with no positive case. Two players who were tested positive earlier remain isolated from the rest of the team in home quarantine. Both have no symptoms and will return to training after the negative test.
