Lukáš Masopust and Petr Ševčík join Slavia

Slavia announced two new reinforcements shortly after the end of autumn season. Midfielders Lukáš Masopust coming from Jablonec and Petr Ševčík from Slovan Liberec belong among the most distinct players of Czech FORTUNA:LIGA.
Right Winger Lukáš Masopust transfers from FK Jablonec. 25-year old player started his senior career in Vysočina Jihlava before joining FK Jablonec in 2015. In 149 league games he scored 21 goals and added 28 assists. This season Masopust played 13 games in Czech league with record of 4 goals and 5 assists. He also started in 3 games of UEFA Europa League for Jablonec. In March 2018 Masopust made his debut in Czech national team in friendly game against China. Since 2013 he has played 5 games for Czech U21 national team.

Petr Ševčík joins Slavia from Slovan Liberec. 24-year old central midfielder was raised in Olomouc playing for Sigma in youth categories. He made his debut for the first team in 2014, later he spent half a year on loan in Opava in 2nd tier scoring 4 goals in 13 games. In July 2016 he moved to Slovan Liberec. Ševčík has played 71 league games scoring 4 goals and providing 12 assists. With Liberec he played in the group stage of UEFA Europa League scoring against Fiorentina. He was part of Czech U21 national team on EURO 2017 in Poland.

Slavia suffered a 0-2 defeat at Letná in the 25th round of the Chance Liga, marking their second loss of the ongoing league season. After Mojmir Chytil’s red card, the home team scored twice in the second half. The Red-Whites currently hold a ten-point lead at the top of the table.
