Name for the future: Marek Icha signs for Slavia

Marek Icha’s transfer from Táborsko was completed. The 19-year old midfielder will spend the rest of the season on loan to Vlašim.

“Marek Icha is a player for the future. In Táborsko he showed a great quality and received call-ups for the Czech youth national teams. We believe that he will get more experience on the senior level in Vlašim,” said Slavia director of football Jiří Bílek.

The 19-year old defensive midfielder/full back has been playing in Táborsko for 3 years. He has 28 caps for the South-Bohemian club in the Czech second division, this season he started to 15 league games and made one start in the MOL Cup.

In autumn last year Icha received his first call-up for the Czech U-20 national team. He made two caps against Germany and England in the Elite League.

Marek Icha signed a contract until 31 June 2025. He will spend the rest of this season on loan to FC Sellier & Bellot Vlašim in the Fortuna National League.

Icha is another arrival From FC Táborsko after Abdallah Sima two years ago. Sima became a key player for the Slavia first team in 2020/21 season and after scoring 16 goals in 39 games he moved to Brighton & Hove Albion in summer 2021.

Slavia kicked off their Champions League group stage campaign with a 2–2 draw against Norwegian champions Bodø/Glimt. Jindřich Trpišovský’s side led by two goals — both scored by Youssoupha Mbodji — but the visitors managed to equalize late in the game. Goalkeeper Jindřich Staněk also made a crucial save from the penalty spot while the score was 1–0.
