New season tickets celebrate the 100th anniversary of Czechoslovakia

Slavia launch the 2018-19 season tickets commemorating the 100th anniversary of founding of Czechoslovakia and famous Slavia members and supporters. The pre-sale starts on 5th June.
In October 2018 we will commemorate the 100th anniversary of Czechoslovakia. The first independent state of Czechs and Slovaks was founded in the final days of WWI and the independence was declared in Prague on 28th October 1918. Slavia has always been linked with the Czech and Czechoslovak elites and the design of new 2018-19 season tickets is based on famous members of Slavia club and famous supporters of the club. All of them played their role in the founding of the republic and promoting its glory on the field of politics, science, culture or sports. “Together we write history” is the motto of 2018-19 campaign. And together with Slavia fans we will write the history again in the next season.Who will be pictured on the 2018-19 season tickets?
Alois Eliáš – Czech general and member of WWII resistance, Prime Minister of Nazi occupied Protectorate of Bohemia and Moravia between 1939 and 1941. General Eliáš was sentenced to death and shot for his resistance activities in 1942. He was the only European wartime prime minister executed directly by Nazis.
Bohumil Hrabal – One of the best Czech writers of 20th century, banned from publishing after the Warsaw Pact invasion to Czechoslovakia in 1968. Author of the novel and the script of the movie “Closely Observed Trains” which won the Academy Award on 1968.
Evžen Rošický – Athlete and journalist, member of the anti-Nazi resistance group “Captain Nemo” during WWII. Arrested in 1942 together with his father and executed. Former Slavia stadium on Strahov hill is named “Stadion Evžena Rošického” after him.
Jan Jánský – Czech serologist, neurologist and psychiatrist. He was the first to classify blood into four types of the ABO blood group system in 1907.
Alois Rašín – One of the founders of the independent Czechoslovakia and its first Finance Minister. Rašín managed to stabilize the currency and thanks to his policy Czechoslovakia avoided the post-was crisis damaging neighbouring countries. Shot dead by young anarchist in 1923.
Milan Hodža – Slovak politician and journalist, Prime Minister of Czechoslovakia from 1935 to 1938. His work contributed to keeping Czechoslovakia democratic state until the WWII which was an exception in Central and South-eastern Europe.
Miloš Forman – Film director, screenwriter and professor, Oscar Award winner for movies One Flew Over the Cuckoo´s Nest and Amadeus (together with cinematographer Miroslav Ondříček, former Slavia chairman of Board). Forman moved to the US following the 1968 Soviet occupation of Czechoslovakia but remained Slavia supporter until his death in 2018.
Stanislav Libenský – Famous Czech glassmaker, sculptor and teacher. Tanks to his activity Czech glassmaking is recognised all over the world.
Jan Masaryk – Son of the first Czechoslovak President Tomáš Garrigue Masaryk, diplomat and politician. Czechoslovak Ambassador to the UK from 1925 to 1938, Minister in exile during the WWII and Minister of Foreign Affairs after 1945. Most likely murdered by communists during the turbulent events of 1948
František Soukup – One of the 5 “Men of the 28th October” organizing the declaration of independence of Czechoslovakia. Vice-chairman of “Revolutionary parliament” and first Minister of Justice of Czechoslovakia.
Pre-sale on June 5, General sale on June 25
The pre-sale of new season tickets starts on June 5 for the current season ticket holders only. General sale starts on July 25, season tickets will be available in the box office of Eden Arena and Ticketportal central branch in Politických vězňů street. Current season ticket holders have their seats reserved till 2nd July.
In the season ticket are included: All games of Fortuna liga regular season (not the games of Champion/Relegation group), all the home games of MOL Cup, selected home friendlies, Youth team home games, Slavia Ladies home games and UEFA Womens’ Champions League games. Season-ticket holders will have the 1+1 free ticket for UEFA Champions League 3rd qualifying round, special bundles for the UEFA competitions (UCL or UEL) and early sale on top league games.
