New signing: Lukáš Provod

Slavia announced new signing. Left-footed winger Lukáš Provod who can also play as left back or second striker joins Slavia from České Budějovice.
22-year old Provod was in České Budějovice on loan from Viktoria Plzeň, he will thus spend the rest of 2019 in Slavia on loan, in winter this will change into a permanent transfer. Lukáš Provod signed contract with Slavia till 2024, he is joining the red-whites to replace Jaromír Zmrhal who left for Serie A side Brescia last month.

“It sounds like something unbelievable, it’s a beautiful story. It all happened really fast and I am happy to be in Eden now. I’d like to help Slavia to achieve their goals,” Lukáš Provod said after his signing.

“It’s a great challenge for me, I am looking forward to playing here. I did not hesitate, it was an easy decision. Slavia is the biggest and most successful club in the Czech Republic, so it was clear immediately,” 22-year old midfielder added.

Lukáš Provod (born 1996) spend his youth career in Viktoria Plzeň before joining Sokolov in Czech 2nd tier for two seasons. In 2018/19 he returned to Viktoria but playing only for reserves he left on loan for Dynamo České Budějovice. He became regular in the Football National League and led Dynamo to promotion. This season in FORTUNA:LIGA the left-footed universal scored 2 goals and added 2 assists in 7 games. In 2017 Provod played 4 games in Czech U21 national team scoring one goal.
