PRAGUE – New reinforcement for Slavia defensive lines was announced. 30-year old defender or defensive midfielder Ondřej Kúdela joins the club from Slovan Liberec. Kúdela has signed contract with the red & whites until June 2020.
“We are glad that we managed to complete this transfer. We were looking for quick and constructive centre back and the advantage of Ondřej is that he can alternate on five positions. We know him very well from Liberec. He is the type of player with great character who can fit in the cabin well. I believe he is the true reinforcement for the team,” manager Jindřich Trpišovský said.Ondřej Kúdela said shortly after his arrival: “The main thing I want is Slavia to be successful. Of course I’d like to play well and I’d like to fight for the starting line-up, but the team has its quality with several great players.”
“I like the chemistry between the team and the managerial staff. When I came to Liberec I got to know it and I liked it. I hope we will be successful and that it will work among us. I think that Jan Nezmar as well as manager Trpišovský played a distinct role in my transfer,” Kúdela added.
Defensive midfielder or defender Ondřej Kúdela is former charge of FC Slovácko where he gained his first senior starts. In 2007 he joined Sparta Prague but soon left for Kladno on loan. In 2009 he left for Mladá Boleslav and has played there for five years. In 2014 Kúdela spent half a year on loan in Kazakhstan playing for FC Ordabasy. In January 2017 he joined Slovan Liberec.
