Patrik Hellebrand joins Slavia

20-year old attacking midfielder joins Slavia from 1.FC Slovácko.
Patrik Hellebrand joined Slavia first team for their opening fitness training camp in Spain. The 20-year old attacking midfielder was linked to several Czech clubs after the autumn part of 2019/20 season, but final terms of his permanent transfer to Slavia are being negotiated now.

Patrik Hellebrand (16 May 1999) started his senior career in Fastav Zlín where he made his maiden start in Czech top tier in the end of 2016/17 season. Then he moved on loan to 1.FC Slovácko where he made 6 league caps in 2017/18. During this season Hellebrand started to 11 league games in Slovácko scoring one goal and adding one assist. Last year the 20-year old midfielder made 4 caps for Czech U-20 national team scoring 2 goals against England and the Netherlands.

Slavia defeated Slovan Liberec 1–0 in the 17th round at Fortuna Arena, maintaining their perfect home record in the Chance League this fall. Mojmír Chytil scored the winning goal in the 41st minute, with Dominik Pech earning his first league assist. A total of 17,969 spectators attended the match in Eden.

Slavia Prague suffered a 1–2 defeat against Turkish side Fenerbahçe SK in the 5th round of the UEFA Europa League group stage, despite taking an early lead through Tomáš Chorý. The visitors turned the match around with goals from Edin Džeko and En Nesyri. Slavia remains on four points in the group.
