Petr Hronek joins Slavia

29-year-old midfielder signed a deal with the Red-Whites until 2025.

Petr Hronek spent his academy years at Sparta, in 2013 he moved to FK Jablonec where he made his senior debut. Through Vlašim (2nd tier) and Příbram he got to Jihlava where he scored his maiden league goal in 2016. Two years later he joined Zlín and made several caps in the 2018/19 UEFA Europa League group stage.

The offensive midfielder spent last four seasons at Bohemians Prague. With 7 goals he was the second-best goal scorer in the 2021/22 season. This season he scored twice and added three assists. Hronek made 180 caps overall in the Czech top division scoring 31 goals.

Slavia midfielder Jan Matoušek goes in the opposite direction and will spend the spring part of 2022/23 on loan to Bohemians.

​The champions of the Chance Liga added another feather to their cap on Saturday night, defeating Sparta 2–1 in the 314th Prague derby. Tomas Chory opened the scoring early, and Oscar sealed the dramatic win in the 87th minute to break the deadlock. It was Slavia’s 20th consecutive home league victory, surpassing a nearly century-old club record.

​The champions of this season’s Chance Liga returned to Fortuna Arena in style. In the 2nd round of the championship group, they erased a two-goal deficit against Plzen and claimed a thrilling 4–3 win — their third victory over the West Bohemian side this season. Goals from Schranz, Zafeiris, Zima, and Holes secured the triumph in front of 18,413 fans. Slavia remain perfect at home in this league campaign!
