Slavia sign Oscar from Slovan

Oscar Dorley signed 4-year deal in Slavia. The 21-year old Liberian midfielder stays in Slovan Liberec on loan till the end of 2019.
Oscar Dorley was born on 19 July 1998 in Monrovia, Liberia. He started with professional football in Club Breweries and moved to Europe in 2016. Oscar started playing for FC Trakai in Lithuania and during two seasons there he scored 11 goals in 43 games.

For 2017/18 Dorley moved to the Czech Republic on loan to Slovan Liberec, a year later this move changed to permanent. Last season he scored 1 goal and added 1 assist in 21 league games for Slovan.

The 21-year old central or right midfielder played 11 games for Liberian national team. In recent transfer window he was linked to the interest of several European top-tier clubs including Manchester City.

“I am delighted with this transfer. And I think it is now important for me to stay in Liberec and move to Slavia after the haft of this season. It is another step in my career and I am happy for it,” Says
Dorley. “I want to meet all the challenges. In the league as well as in other competitions. I want to do my best in Slavia,” he added.

“There is always a superb atmosphere on Slavia stadium. It’s one of the stadiums I enjoyed the most when I played there,” Oscar concluded.

“We have been watching Oscar for some time and I think he will fit into our style of play with his dispositions and abilities. He is a young player who will develop a lot. He has shown great progress in recent months and that’s why we left him in Liberec on loan,” Slavia Sports Director Jan Nezmar said.
