Successful start of the winter training

PRAGUE – Slavia entered the winter training with two Saturday friendlies against Kolín and Vlašim and pleased the crowd with two wins. The newest reinforcements did their best to impress as all the offensive players introduced themselves with a goal.
Slavia - Kolín 5-0 (2-0)

Slavia defeated Kolín 5-0 in the morning match. Dame Diop opened the score with a header in 31st minute. Ten minutes later Radek Voltr successfully aimed for the top corner and Slavia took 2-0 lead. In the 60th minute Voltr added his second goal into the yawning net after a well-done pass by Kenia. Jan Vošahlík scored Slavia’s fourth goal in the 83rd minute, when he appeared in the same situation as Voltr before, only this time the pass came from Libor Holík. In 89th minute it was again Dame Diop who slotted the ball home and Slavia won their first friendly match.

Slavia - Vlašim 4-0 (1-0)

The fans could finally see the newest reinforcements in red-white shirts during the second game with Vlašim. The first one to earn the applause was Muris Mešanovič. The Bosnian striker received a beautiful centre-pass from Bílek and scored the opener in the 17th minute. Midfielder Josef Hušbauer executed a penalty shot in the very beginning of the second half, which was awarded after a foul on Vukadinovič. The agile Jaromír Zmrhal prepared a great opportunity for the newest reinforcement of Slavia, so striker Lukáš Železník shot the third goal in 62nd minute. The fourth and final goal was scored by Jan Kuchta in 85th minute and it was again Zmrhal who set up the successful attack.

Slavia missed the youngest reinforcements. Antonín Barák and Zdeněk Linhart are currently training with the U21 national team at the Canary Islands. Both players were in the line-up for a Saturday’s friendly match. Zdeněk Linhart scored the only goal of the game, so the Czech national under-21 football team defeated Stuttgarter Kickers 1-0.
