Tomáš Malinský joins Slavia

28-year old winger who played in Slovan Liberec for last 3 years signs a contract in red and white until 30 June 2023.

“It is a great feeling. It has always been my dream to play for such a big club. I hope I will soon enjoy the pitch in Eden in a game. Slavia came with the most specific offer, we discussed it with my agent, and we agreed that I should not hesitate. I am glad I can be here,” Malinský said.

In the red and white Malinský will continue with his earlier work under the current Slavia and former Slovan Liberec manager Jindřich Trpišovský. “Tomáš is the quickest of the quickest players. His dynamics and fitness strength are his big advantages. During the spring part of the last season he certainly belonged among the best players in the Czech league. He started scoring goals and providing assists which was something he was not able to do earlier. But it has changed, and he showed his strength in difficult games. As Slavia we must prepare for possible leaving of our wingers who are interesting for European clubs and continuously have some offers,” Slavia manager Jindřich Trpišovský stated.

28-year old offensive midfielder started his senior career in Chrudim, in 2011 he moved to Hradec Králové and made his first league starts there. In 2011/12 he made 16 league caps but missed most of the following season due to ligament injury. For Hradec Králové he made overall 136 caps between 2011 and 2017 scoring 14 goals. Before the 2017/18 season he left for Slovan Liberec making 69 starts since. Last season he belonged to the best players of the club with 7 goals and 7 assists. He helped the club to qualify for the Czech FA Cup finals and for the UEFA Europa League qualifiers.
