Vladimir Perišić to play for Slavia

Vladimir Perišić, a twenty-year-old Montenegrin international forward, has signed a contract at Eden until June 30, 2028, and will start his tenure with Slavia in the B-team.

The 20-year-old Montenegrin international, newly called up for the first time, is transferring to Slavia from Budućnost Podgorica. At the start of the season, he scored twice in the Conference League qualifiers and twice in the league. Last season, he scored 22 goals.

“Vladimir is a very talented player who can play in multiple positions in the attack. He had an excellent season, which he continued in the Conference League qualifiers. At just 20 years old, he has also been called up for the first time to Montenegro´s senior national team. He will start with the B-team to adapt, and he is a great promise for the future,” says sporting director Jiří Bílek.

“I’m very happy to be playing for Slavia. I learned from Stevan Jovetić, and after progressing through the youth national teams, I made it to Montenegro’s senior team. It’s a great honor for me. With the help of the B-team, I’ll adapt to Czech football. I’m looking forward to living in Prague; it’s a beautiful city,” says Vladimir Perišić, anticipating his new challenge with the red and whites.

Titles, Europe, and His First National Team Call-Up

The name similarity with Croatian icon Ivan Perišić is purely coincidental. The tall striker is a product of Montenegro’s Budućnost Podgorica, breaking into the first team at just 16 years old and celebrating two titles with the team that developed him. Last season, he was on loan at the second-division Kom Podgorica, where he was in excellent form. In 14 matches, he scored 22 goals.

After returning to Budućnost, he continued where he left off, scoring goals consistently, including twice in the Conference League qualifiers. He first helped his team advance past Kosovo´s Malisheva, then equalized in the second leg against CSKA Sofia. However, it wasn’t enough to progress after losing the first match. He also scored twice in the opening rounds of the league.

He has also regularly represented Montenegro in youth categories, and his excellent form at the start of the season earned him his first call-up to the senior national team.
