Slavia - Sparta
Slavia drew 0-0 with Sparta, remains unbeaten in Prague Derby for 10 league Derbys in row and celebrates 2019/20 Czech title!
The red and whites started with more usual line-up than in last two games, only Michal Frydrych replaced injured Ondřej Kúdela as centre-back.

Slavia set the pace in the opening minutes and created several promising opportunities. In the biggest one Nico Stanciu passed the ball back from the left side of the box and Vladimír Coufal hit the woodwork with his stunner.

Two minutes later Stanciu tried his luck from free kick, but Heča blocked his low shot from 22 metres. In 17th minute Tecl headed inside the box after a corner and Heča had to show another good save. In 25th minute Provod fired from 25 metres, but Sparta goalkeeper saved his effort again.

After half an hour Sparta got into their first chances. Tetteh won the ball after Coufal’s slip, but Tima block his shot with perfect sliding tackle. A minute later Hanousek fired from inside the box, but Kolář deflected his effort over the crossbar with his fingertips.

In 36th minute Tetteh could proceed alone on Kolář on the right side but fired wide. On the other side Masopust could fire unattended on the edge of the box after Stanciu’s pass from the set piece, but the low effort missed the left post.

Shortly after the break Stanciu found Masopust from another corner and Heča had to block his well-placed effort again. Just two minutes later Zima fired from the edge of the box and Tecl missed just one step on the far post to send the ball into an open net.

One hour into the game Stanciu could break the deadlock after a clever pass by Masopust, but Sparta goalkeeper punched his curling shot away. In 65th minute Stanislav Tecl was even closer, but his header after Ševčík’s cross rebounded from woodwork to the goal line and back.

Slavia managed to keep their opponents at bay for the rest of the game and it was Traoré who could decide about the win in the added time, but his effort from inside the box was blocked by Sparta defence.

Slavia thus ended the 2019/20 season with goalless draw against Sparta. We remain unbeaten in Prague Derby since March 2016, but what is more important, we finally add the second star to our crest. For the 20th time we are the Czech or Czechoslovak champions!
