Six Slavia players in the Czech national team

Czech national team will play to England away and against Brazil home in March and there will be at least 6 Slavia players in the squad!
Defenders Vladimír Coufal and Ondřej Kúdela and midfielders Alex Král, Tomáš Souček, Jaromír Zmrhal and Lukáš Masopust were called to the Czech national team. Ondřej Kolář, Jan Bořil, Josef Hušbauer and Milan Škoda are among substitutes.

It is first nomination for 20-year-old Alex Král into the national “A” team. Vladimír Coufal was twice in UEFA Europa League Team of the Week in last three games.

“I have been playing for the Czech Republic in all youth categories from under-17 so I am really happy now. It’s my first invitation into the “A” team and it’s exactly the reason why I have been doing everything for 100% lately,” Alex Král said.

“There are two wonderful games ahead of us. We’ll play in Wembley against England, the atmosphere will be great there. And then the other game against Brazil, home in Eden, the match will be sold-out, such a team will drag a lot of attention. I am glad I will be there and that I’ll have a chance to compare myself with such players,” Král added.

The Czech national team travel to England to launch their EURO 2020 qualification on 22 March (8:45 pm). On 26 March the Czech Lions will play in Sinobo Stadium in Eden friendly game against Brazil (8:45 pm).
