Slavia are in Cluj

On Sunday evening Slavia have landed in Romania for the UCl play-off first round against CFR Cluj.
The game will be played on Tuesday night with kick-off at 9 pm CET (10 pm local time). “We have been watching Cluj and Celitic. The home side have great quality and many experienced players with five to thirty starts in Champions league. Very well technically equipped team strong on ball. There are just two Romanian regulars in the starting eleven, the rest being players from South America or Africa, a mix of technically-skilled players,” assistant manager Zdeněk Houštecký says.

Slavia midfielder Nico Stanciu is returning to well-know environment. “I know our opponents very good, some of their players are my teammates from Romanian national team. But the strength they have is coming from their coach. Dan Petrescu is – in my opinion – currently the best manager in Romanian league. He deserves admiration for what Cluj achieved with him. He is a great manager and the team made big success thanks to him,” Stanciu says.
