Slovakian talent Jaroslav Mihalík joins Slavia

PRAGUE – Slavia is delighted to bring another young talent to Eden. Slovakian midfielder Jaroslav Mihalík will sign a contract until 30 June 2019.
Offensive midfielder or striker Jaroslav Mihalík will join Slavia after he passes a medical test. The twenty-one-year-old started his professional career in Žilina, scoring 13 goals in 2014/15 season and 9 goals in the autumn part of the current campaign. Member of Slovakian national under-21 team shone in the November match against the Netherlands. With Mihalík’s one goal and two assists, Slovakia managed to turn around the result from 0-2 to 4-2 win and is one step closer to the 2017 UEFA European Under-21 Championship.

“I want to move forward and I believe that Slavia is the right choice. I am not afraid of the competition and I want to play, that is why I transfer. I see it as a challenge,” explains the young talent.

“Jaroslav Mihalík is one of two greatest talents of Slovakian U21. He can play on right wing or left wing and will be a great asset to the team,” says head coach Dušan Uhrin.

“He is a young talented U21 national team player who has been proving his qualities and his ability to score in Žilina for more than three years. We believe, that after he passes the medicals, he will join the team,” adds general director David Trunda.
