German side WfL Wolfsburg is one of the biggest European clubs among ladies football. The current leaders of German league have won the UWCL twice and have many internationals in their squad.

Slavia will start with a new reinforcement, 23-year-old Icelandic international and Sandra Maria Jessen. The offensive player took part on recent EURO and can start as a winger or striker.

"The Champions League quarter-final is a real challenge for me. I am looking forward to playing it as well as the whole team. It is a prestigeous game and it cannot be compared with the games in national team as it is totally different competition. This competition is a top in the club football and I believe that despite playing difficult games we will make everything to play well and fight for the promotion," says Sandra Jessen.

"Thanks to my period in Leverkusen I had a chance to play Wolfsburg and I know, how do they play. The team consists of great players from all over the world, German, Swedish, Swiss and Icelandic internationals. Concerning Pernille Halder - the captain of Iceland - I had a good chance to study her play thanks to the national team coach and I believe we will find the way how to stop her. We must focus on good defence and effective closing of the free space to win a good result," Sandra Jessen continues.

"I feel good in Prague as I have been accepted well by everybody in the club. They help me every day to to develop as a player and as a personality. Thatīs why I am happy to be part of this team. We have a great team spirit and everybody can see it on the pitch. My teammates already managed to give me about five nicknames since I have arrived. But usually they call me Sandra because Es, Sunny or Olaf - the snowman from the Frozen movie - did not really catch on," laughs one of the biggest Slavia stars.

"I would like to invite all Slavia fans to come and to support us against Wolfsburg. It is a game of utmost importance and if we could feel the support behind our backs, it will be like having a twelfth player. For the whole team I can say that we will do our best on the pitch," Jessen concluded.
