We should have won. We need to be smarter in the second leg

Alexander Bah scored a wonderful equaliser in the home game against Legia, but the Red-Whites only drew 2-2. “We need to play in the same style and convert our chances,” he says.

On the 2-2 home draw

“I think we should have won. They had two efforts on goal and scored twice. We need to convert our chances. But we proved we were the better team. In my opinion we need to play in the same style in Poland, it will be enough to convert our chances.”

On his first-half equaliser

“We saw several videos from their previous games which showed that they leave gaps in the box. We tried to execute the set piece accordingly and it worked out.”

On the fans

“I was speechless. Every time we play home, they are here for us until the 90th minute, whatever happens. I am enjoying every game I play at Eden I hope we will reward them with our performance in Poland.”

On the prospect of qualifying for the group stage

“I think we need to be smarter. From the first minute they were taking their time, the guys who run the most were their medical staff. They had no rush from the opening minutes, their doctors were running the most. We need to be cleverer and make them tired again. And we need to play the same way, because they had two shots on goal, and we had… I don’ know how many. So, we need to score from our chances and then I know we will go through for sure.”
