Young Czech star Jan Matoušek joins Slavia

20-year old Czech prospect Jan Matoušek joins Slavia from Příbram. Matoušek signed 4-year contract with the red-whites about a month ago and should remain in Příbram till the end of 2018. However due to injuries in Slavia squad the young midfielder joins the club now.
Jan Matoušek – currently member of Czech U21 sqaud – signed a 4-year deal in Eden. 20-year old midfielder is one of the biggest prospects of Czech football playing his first season in Czech top flight. Last year Matoušek was voted the best player of National Football League (2nd tier) scoring 11 goals for Příbram helping the club to promotion. This season Matoušek scored 4 goals and added 3 assists in Příbram and became target of all the top Czech clubs. In August he decided to move to Slavia remaining in Příbram on loan till the end of 2018, but after series of injuries in Slavia midfield he joins the red-whites now and will be added on the UEFA Europa League line-up.

In the second round of the Champions League group stage, Slavia Prague were defeated 0–3 away to Inter Milan at the San Siro. Jindřich Staněk was beaten twice by Lautaro Martínez, a veteran of the sides’ memorable 1–1 draw six years ago, while Denzel Dumfries added a third for the hosts.
