SPAIN/LA LÍNEA - The red & whites have played their first training game during the winter break. As a part of fitness training camp in Andalusia they have met local side Real Balompédica Linense losing the game 2-4 with two different line-ups for both halves.

PRAGUE – Slavia announced signing of another talented young player. After Slovak goalkeeper Martin Vantruba signed last week, Bosnian striker Imad Rondić will become next reinforcement for the red & whites. 18-year old striker is currently the best striker of Bosnian Junior League.

PRAGUE/EDEN – There is a busy month and even busier last few days behind new Slavia first team coach Jindřich Trpišovský. In addition to that, his first training session in the new club has not met with a good weather – starting with storm, going on with hail and (finally) ending with a rainbow. But the team lasted till the very end. “The players are not made of sugar, they must stand a lot,” started Trpišovský after the opening training session of winter preparation.

Jindřich Trpišovský appointed new Slavia manager

PRAGUE – 41-year old Jindřich Trpišovský was appointed new first team coach on Friday. He succeeds Jaroslav Šilhavý who had been dismissed earlier this week. Trpišovský has been managing Slovan Liberec in the past two years and will thus continue his cooperation with new Slavia Sports manager Jan Nezmar.

PRAGUE – Management of football club Slavia Prague dismissed first team head coach Jaroslav Šilhavý and his assistants Jiří Chytrý and Milan Veselý in response to unsatisfactory performance of the A-team in the competitive games. New management team will be introduced soon.

Hušbauer scored two as Slavia skip Astana

NETANYA/MUNICIPAL STADIUM - More than ten years Slavia did not taste the away victory in European competitions. This series ended in the game against Tel Aviv and Josef Hušbauer was the one to score both Slavia goals. The victory means that the red & whites skipped Astana on the second place of group A.

PRAGUE – Slavia play their last game in UEFA Europa League group stage on Thursday, December 7 home in Eden Arena. The opponent will be FC Astana from Kazakhstan and the game will probably decide about the second place and qualification for the round of 32 in spring 2018.

Slavia score four in the opening of Craiova stadium

CRAIOVA/ROMANIA – Slavia were the first club to play on the new Ion Oblemenco stadium in thr Romanian city of Craiova. The red & whites defeated the hosts CS Universitatea 4-0 thanks to two goals by Milan Škoda and one by Mick van Buren and 19-year old Pavel Bucha who has played his very first game for the A-team.

Late goal decided about the loss in Plzeň

PLZEN/DOOSAN ARENA - Slavia returned to Plzeň where they lost their last away game some 14 month ago. And neither this time managed the red & whites to gain any points. Daniel Kolář decided about the victory for the home side on 79th minute. Plzeň is now 14 points ahead of Slavia on top of the league table.

Southern stand named after František Plánička

PRAGUE/EDEN ARENA – The Southern stand of Eden Arena was named in honour of legendary Slavia and Czechoslovak goalkeeper František Plánička. The ceremony was part of the 125th anniversary of the club before the Europa League game with Villarreal.
