Milan Škoda signs contract extension until 2018

PRAGUE – Slavia secured their top scorer Milan Škoda after he scored two goals against Bohemians Praha 1905 and rescued a point in a 2-2 draw. The 29-year-old has agreed a three-year deal (ending 30. 6. 2018).

After four years in Slavia, Milan Škoda has become a key player. The excellent forward scored 19 goals in the previous season and has scored 9 in the current one.

“I am very happy and excited that we agreed. The meeting with the owners was very pleasant and I enjoyed it. I see my future at Slavia and I will do my best to pay back the trust given in me,” said Slavia’s best striker. “Slavia is the oldest club in the Czech Republic and I am honoured to be here. I appreciate the club and our great fans and I hope that our results will only get better,” he added.

“Prolonging the deal with Milan Škoda was our top priority, He is a very important component for Slavia’s future and I am excited that we were able to work out a contract extension,” said David Trunda, general manager of the club.

Slavia defeated Bohemians in front of 18,992 spectators at Fortuna Arena and continue to lead the Chance Liga table. The Vršovice derby was decided in the first half, with goals from Tomáš Chorý and Štěpán Chaloupek (the latter deflected in by Okeke). In the second half, Lukáš Provod scored a stunning strike, while Zeman pulled one back for the visitors.
