Ondřej Lingr returns to Slavia
The transfer fee for the 25-year-old international midfielder is 2.2 million euros.
“The opportunity to acquire Ondra under very favorable financial conditions arose. We didn’t hesitate, and we believe he will continue to deliver the excellent performances he showcased in our jersey. We are gaining a player with a winning mentality, an immediate reinforcement who knows our environment and system. The coaching team knows exactly what to expect from him. We hope he will significantly contribute to achieving our goals on the domestic scene as well as in Europe,” says Slavia’s sporting director Jiří Bílek.
“My goal is to once again become an important member of the team, as I was before I left. But much more important to me are Slavia’s goals. Slavia comes first. I will do everything as I did before I left, to help the team in any situation, whether on the pitch or off it. I would love to bring the league trophy back to Eden and help Slavia to the title and the best results in the Europa League,” says returning player Ondřej Lingr.
Three years, three trophies, and 16 winning goals
Ondřej Lingr joined Slavia in August 2020 after a successful season with Karviná, where he scored seven goals and added one assist in 29 matches. Right after his arrival, he became one of the cornerstones of a phenomenal season where Slavia remained undefeated and celebrated winning the double. In the league, he scored four goals in 27 matches, with his first league goal in a Slavia jersey coming on December 6, 2020, in the Prague derby at Letná, where Slavia won 3-0. He added three more goals in the MOL Cup. He also played in all the matches of the Europa League group stage, where he shone with a beautiful goal against French side OGC Nice, which ultimately won the goal of the season award. His outstanding performances helped Slavia reach the Europa League quarterfinals.
In the 2021/22 season, he was among the team’s top scorers with 14 goals in the league, contending for the top scorer title. He also scored one goal in the Europa Conference League against Fenerbahce. His excellent performances earned him his first call-up to the senior national team. In his last season in the red and white jersey, he played 27 league matches, scoring 11 goals and assisting in four others. Before his departure, he celebrated winning the MOL Cup at Letná.
During his three years with Slavia, Lingr managed to appear in 138 competitive matches, scoring a total of 40 goals. Sixteen of those were winning goals.
He moved to Feyenoord Rotterdam in August 2023. During one year, he played 26 matches in the red and white jersey, scored four goals, and celebrated victories in the Dutch Cup and Super Cup. At EURO 2024, he appeared in all group stage matches as a substitute. In the Czech team’s match against Georgia, he assisted in the equalizing goal for 1-1.
Lingy, welcome home.
