In the highlight match of the 28th round of the FORTUNA:LIGA, Slavia fell to Plzeň 0-1 at Štruncových sady and recorded their first away defeat of the league season. The game was decided in the 87th minute by Plzeň´s top scorer, Pavel Šulc.
Jindřich Trpišovský made two changes compared to the home game against Bohemians, with the injured Tomáš Holeš in the center of defense replaced by Igoh Ogbu, and Conrad Wallem returning after serving a suspension for four yellow cards. Petr Ševčík led the team with the captain's armband.

Both clubs continued their previous joint activities in the field of CSR and supported the Bone Marrow Transplant Foundation (NTKD) before the match. Jaroslav Tvrdík and Adolf Šádek personally visited the Foundation at the bone marrow transplantation unit of the hematooncological department of the Plzeň University Hospital, and before kickoff, representatives of NTKD were presented with a donation check for the purchase of rehabilitation equipment.

Fans of both teams also got involved. THANK YOU!

Slavia created the first chance at the packed Doosan Arena, with Václav Jurečka taking a shot in a 2-on-1 situation, which Jedlička saved. Mojmír Chytil couldn't reach the rebound, as the Plzeň goalkeeper managed to clear the ball. In the 11th minute, the home team threatened significantly, but Tomáš Vlček managed to deflect Chorý's shot from Metsoko's pass on the goal line.

Slavia defended well against two corner kicks at the end of the 18th minute, as well as against Kalvach's set piece, with Jindřich Staněk punching the ball out, and Metsoko missed the follow-up. Half an hour into the game, Chorý's header missed the left post of Staněk's goal. Igoh Ogbu suffered an injury after a challenge, requiring treatment, but continued in the game. Ševčík's cross was dealt with by Jedlička twice, eventually securing the ball.

In the 44th minute, Lukáš Provod crossed the ball, and David Zima rose for a header but missed the target. Jedlička had more work to do in a scrum a few seconds later when he covered the ball from Conrad Wallem. This action concluded the goalless first half, with Christos Zafeiris replacing Provod for the second half. In the 51st minute, Vlček performed well defensively, clearing the ball from Souaré in the small penalty area just in time.

In the 57th minute, Šulc found the back of the net, but referee Pechanec reviewed the situation on video and revealed that Plzeň's top scorer had handled the ball before scoring. The goal was disallowed. On the other end, Jedlička had no trouble dealing with Zmrzlý's shot, and he punched a cross from the same player over the bar. In the 66th minute, Slavia's coaching staff made a double substitution, with Jurečka and Zmrzlý replaced by Lukáš Masopust and Malick Diouf.

In the 80th minute, Matěj Jurásek had a promising chance, coming on for Ševčík, but Jedlička was attentive. Six minutes later, Slavia had a corner kick, but the Plzeň goalkeeper found and secured the ball.

In the 87th minute, the home team opened the scoring, with Šulc reaching the rebound and firing it into the net. Jindřich Staněk had no chance - 1-0. Subsequently, Muhamed Tijani replaced Wallem, and Oscar's shot missed the right post. Slavia couldn't equalize in the four minutes of added time and suffered their first away defeat of the league season.

The next match awaits Jindřich Trpišovský's selection on Sunday, April 21, at the Fortuna Arena against Olomouc.
