Slavia - Feyenoord
Goals: 12. Olayinka, 66. Kuchta - 31. a 90. Dessers
Slavia led by one goal just minutes before the final whistle, but ten-man Feyenoord managed to equalize to divide the points.

Slavia started with two changes from the league game against Jablonec on Sunday. Lingr, who scored two as a substitute on Sunday, replaced Hromada in midfield and Schranz started in the striker position instead of Kuchta.

With 5 minutes on the clock, Alexander Bah was through on Marciano but was tackled to the ground by a defending player. To a loud dislike of the Slavia players and fans, the game was waved on by the referee.

After 11 minutes of the game, Slavia got their way. Alexander Bah quickly interrupted a slow pass from the Feyenoord goalkeeper and put a low ball across the box to find Peter Olayinka who finished coolly to make it 1:0 to Slavia.

In the 28th minute, Feyenoord won the ball in the middle of the pitch by pressuring Slavia and started a quick attacking move, resulting in Dessers’ shot from far out that Mandous managed to push out for a corner kick. Til’’s header from said corner kick was then also saved by Mandous.

Feyenoord kept pushing and in the 31st minute they managed to make the most of it when Dessers received a pass from Toornstra on the right wing, spun around the defenders and smashed it past Mandous, 1:1.

With ten minutes until halftime, Til made a completely unnecessary challenge from behind on the edge of Slavia’s box to bring down Stanciu. After a consultation with his colleagues, the referee awarded Til a red card and Feyenoord were down to ten men.

The red-whites, with Kuchta now on the pitch for Masopust, started the second half much stronger and were all over the Feyenoord defence, but all to no luck as the away defenders managed to hold on.

In the 62th minute, Ševčík came on for Schranz right before a corner kick and he almost became an immediate lucky charm. Kuchta managed to create space for himself on the back post and headed the ball towards Feyenoord’s goal, but Marciano was ready and saved it.

Slavia dominated the beginning of the second half and it paid off in the 62nd minute. Holeš tried it from long range right towards Marciano, but the Feyenoord goalkeeper only managed to knock the ball in front, where Kuchta brought it around him and finished calmly to make it 2:1 to Slavia.

The game continued in a high tempo with tempers flaring on both sides but no bigger chance came for either team until the 86th minute, when Geertruida managed to dribble all the way to Slavia’s box, but Bah pulled the handbrake on him and cleared it for a corner.

From that corner, Feyenoord fired a dangerous header that bounced off the crossbar and was yet again cleared last-minute by Bah. The Slavia player had to be then carried off the pitch on stretches, having suffered a head injury.

Feyenoord did not give up and they got their goal in the 93rd minute after Dessers picked up a deep cross at the far post and slotted it past Mandous to make it 2:2 with five minutes left to play.

Slavia tried to push for the winning goal in the last couple of minutes but to no luck as the game finished level. The red-whites will therefore have to make the most of their last group game - away to Union Berlin, which sits in third place of group E just one point behind Slavia.
