Late Petar Musa´s strike secures 3 points in Příbram

Manager Jindřich Trpišovský couldn’t rely on services of Tomáš Holeš and Petr Ševčík in Příbram as both were out with an injury. Tomáš Holeš was replaced by Ibrahim Traoré in the starting line-up as the Ivorian fully recovered from his minor ankle injury.
First half unfortunately didn’t have much to offer in terms of offensive creativity. The hosts holed up in their penalty box and almost exclusively visited the Red-White’s half, when Polidar or Zoran tried to break through on counter-attack.
However, only after 11 minutes Slavia managed to put the ball into the back of the net. After a wierd ricochet in the box Stanciu hit the post from which the ball bounced right onto the feet of Stanislav Tecl. The striker didn’t hasitate and smashed the ball into the net. But the score-line remained goalless as the referee ruled out the goal due to the striker’s offside position.
With just a few minutes to play from the first half, Traoré could have sent Slavia into the lead with a free header after Bořil’s cross from the left flank, but the midfielder ultimately failed to test Melichar as his header missed the goal.
After the break, the display of the game didn’t change much. And thus, Jindřich Trpišovský brought on Patrik Hellebrand and Petar Musa soon after to freshen up the offensive line.
In 74th minute, Nicolae Stanciu was fouled and took the responsibility of the free-kick from 25 metres himself. Unfortunately, the Romanian midfielder only smashed the woodwork with his brilliant curling over-the-wall effort!
As it seemed like the Red-Whites might fail in their pursuit of goal, the young Croatian striker, Petar Musa, pulled off incredible acrobatic strike after rebound in the box, smashed the ball into the back of the net and sent Slavia into the lead in 82nd minute – 1:0!
Slavia comfortably defended its tight lead until the final whistle and added exceptionally important 3 points to the league table!
