Slavia - Č. Budějovice
Goals: 15. Lingr, 43. Kuchta - 76. Skovajsa
Lingr and Kuchta were on the scoresheet as Slavia beat České Budějovice in the last game of the season.
Slavia started with several changes in the line-up again. Jan Kuchta competing for the top striker was not missing as a lone striker. Peter Olayinka, Ondřej Lingr and Mick van Buren started in midfield.

Oscar and Kuchta created first chance with just 4 minutes on the clock when the first one set up Traoré on the edge of the box, but our midfielder missed the left post. Five minutes later Samek tried his luck from 25 metres, but Vorel managed to block his shot at full stretch.

Slavia took lead after 15 minutes. After Bah’s throw-in Traoré set up Ondřej Lingr with a beautiful backheel pass inside of the box and our forward thumped in a stunning opener. Only two minutes later the same player headed wide following Bah’s corner.

Slavia set the pace of the game and created more chances. In the 36th minute Deli’s volley was directed into the top left corner, but Dynamo goalkeeper managed to block it again. On the other side Zajíc headed wide after a cross from the left wing.

The Red-Whites doubled their lead two minutes before the break. Van Buren passed the ball to Bah who sent sharp cross in front of the net and Jan Kuchta found the back of the net with a close-range finish. It was his 15th goal of the season.

The start of the second half showed no change in the pattern of the play. In the 54th minute Alexander Bah sent another precise cross from the right wing and Ondřej Lingr could score his second of the night, but our forward fired his volley over the crossbar.

Four minutes later Olayinka sent a through pass into the opposition box to Jan Kuchta who missed the near post close with his left-foot finish. In the 74th minute Bah returned the ball on the centre of the pitch after a long cross from the left side, but Olayinka’s volley was punched out by Vorel from below the crossbar.

In the 76th minute, however, Budějovice managed to score from one of their counter-attacks. After a long cross from the right wing Lukáš Skovajsa outjumped Slavia defence on the far post and headed the ball into the net. Seven minutes later Valenta fired on the far post after another Dynamo corner but sent the ball wide.

But Slavia did not allow Dynamo to score the equaliser. Goals by Lingr and Kuchta from the opening half were enough for the Red-Whites to keep their unbeaten record in the entire 2020/21 Fortuna Liga.

We are the 2020/21 Czech champions. The unbeaten champions!
