Olayinka and Tecl were the other two who scored before the break to secure the 3-0 win over Slovan Liberec.
After the international break Slavia returned to the league football against 4th-place Slovan Liberec who, however, could not start 6 players on loan from Slavia. Ondřej Kolář started in goal for the first time this season replacing Aleš Mandous.

The game started with a minute of silence when the players and fans remembered the 125 victims of the tragedy during a football game in Indonesian city of Malang.

Slavia started the game better and got into several chances. In the 15th minute Ewerton sent a dangerous cross shot on Vliegen, but the Liberec goalkeeper managed to block the effort. However, only a minute later the Red-Whites took lead when Ševčík set up Ousou with a long cross and the Swedish centre-back found the back of the net with is head to celebrate his 50th start for Slavia.

Slavia allowed Liberec only one shot on target during opening 20 minutes and on the other side managed to double their lead when Ševčík found Olayinka with another precise cross from the right side and the Nigerian forward scored his first league goal this season after 4 strikes in the UECL. Ševčík made his 5th assist which lifted him on top of the best assistant’s table.

Slavia then managed to add third before the break when Rondić pulled down Ousou inside of the box and the referee gave Slavia a penalty after a VAR check. Although Stanislav Tecl was denied by Vliegen, the ball rebounded back to him from the post and our striker sent his 9th league goal this season into an open net.

Second half launched with several Slavia chances, but Vliegen denied both Provod and Ewerton in the biggest of them. Manager Trpišovský used all five substitutions in the second half including the return of Yira Sor who started for the first time since July.

In the 82nd minute another new man on the pitch Jurečka went past several Liberec defenders into the box, but Vliegen pulled out another superb save and kicked his effort out.

In the added time Liberec created their biggest chance when Kozák fired from inside of the box, but Kolář stretched out to his right and managed to block his low shot.

Slavia thus recorded 9th win in their 9th home game this season. Next game at Eden will be played on Thursday from 9 pm, Slavia will host CFR Cluj in the UECL group stage.
